HP has appointed Eric de Vos as the Asia Pacific director in charge of the company's Integrated Global Delivery model in Australia.
The idea behind the model is that customers can focus their internal IT efforts on innovation and core business issues, with other services being delivered from HP's centres of excellence in India, China and the Philippines, co-ordinated by a local project management team.
"HP's global delivery model will offer our customers access to a global blend of HP's people and expertise, delivered via a local project management team that understands the client's local business and IT environment," says de Vos.
"Integrated Global Delivery takes care of the tactical operational aspects of the project delivery, allowing local IT teams to focus more on governance and key business strategies. This is both time and cost effective, without sacrificing the customer relationship required to deliver better business outcomes."
de Vos was previously the director of HP's consulting and integration business in the South Pacific.
