LogicaCMG adds Sean Newell to spatial strategy squad

Services firm LogicaCMG has appointed Sean Newell as its Sydney-based head of spatial strategy.

Newell will be responsible for developing strategies that help LogicaCMG customers - typically in the telecommunications, energy, government, retail and logistics sectors - maximise the advantage of spatial data.

"We look forward to Sean and the spatial team building on our delivery capability in this space and creating an Australian-based centre for innovation and excellence," said Colin Holgate, CEO, LogicaCMG.

Newell has 16 years industry experience in Australia and the UK.  His resume includes a stint with a venture capitalist firm, running his own consultancy with a high-profile client list, and time with geospatial application specialist Small World Systems culminating in the role of global utilities marketing manager.

He holds a Masters degree in Engineering from Cambridge University.
