LogicaCMG appoints energy and utilities director

Former EDS, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture executive Sorin Toma has joined LogicaCMG's Sydney office as energy and utilities director.

"We are delighted to have an executive of Sorin’s calibre and experience join us at this critical time in the energy and utility sector and look forward to his experience in providing our clients with ongoing, quality, creative and innovative solutions delivery," said CEO Colin Holgate.

LogicaCMG built and operates the New South Wales online emissions trading registry, and provided the SCADA systems that monitor the drinking water consumed by more than 50 percent of Australians. It now has its eye on the introduction of interval power metering.

Toma has a Bachelor of Science Degree (Electronics and Scientific Instrumentation) from Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Computer Systems Engineering) from the University of Technology Sydney.
