Cognos signs SAP CFO

Cognos has appointment of Steve Gazzard as chief financial officer for its Asia Pacific region.

"Gazzard's analytical mind, his impressive background and his expertise in reporting software from both the user and vendor perspective will help Cognos further consolidate and support our growth strategy across the region," said Jack Thomas, president of Cognos Asia Pacific.

Gazzard will be based in Sydney.

His previous positions include CFO for SAP in UK and Ireland, and financial reporting manager at World Duty Free Europe, plus roles at the BBC, Ernst and Young, and the ABC Symphony Orchestra.

He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Business Studies from the University of Warwick.
