Network Appliance has promoted Simon Green to the role of vice president of sales for Asia Pacific.

In reverse chronological order, Green has been vice president for go-to-market across Asia Pacific, area director, South Asia, and managing director for Australia and New Zealand. He joined NetApp in 2000.

"My goal for NetApp across Asia Pacific is to continue nurturing relationships with our long-term, strategic channel partners, placing an emphasis on the strength of our strategic alliances and continuing to provide superior network storage solutions for our customers," said Green. "I look forward to the task ahead."

He will continue to report to Charlie Trentacosti, Vice President and General Manager for NetApp Asia Pacific.
