Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Sony has announced the retirement of Ken Kutaragi, representative director, chairman and group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc, effective June 19.
Kutaragi will continue as honorary chairman of SCEI, and will act as senior technology advisor to Sony chairman and CEO Howard Stringer.
Kazuo Hirai, current president and group COO of SCEI, will be promoted to president and group CEO, retaining worldwide responsibility for the PlayStation business.
Kutaragi, the 'Father of PlayStation', invented and launched the original PlayStation in 1994 and the PlayStation 2 in 2000.
"I am happy to graduate from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc after introducing four platforms to the PlayStation family," said Kutaragi. "It has been an exciting experience to change the world of computer entertainment by marrying cutting edge technologies with creative minds from all over the world. I'm looking forward to building on this vision in my next endeavors."
