Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Australian digital video systems developer Mediaware has appointed Lester Sutton as Business Development Director. Sutton joins Mediaware from technology company Honeywell. Prior to Honeywell, he spent 27 years in the Australian military including stints on the ground in Kuwait, East Timor and Iraq. Sutton’s most recent military appointments were as Head of Analysis and Production for the Combined Intelligence Operations Centre in Iraq and Commander of Australia’s Joint Operations Intelligence Centre (JOIC). The JOIC had responsibilities for the provision of intelligence, wide-area maritime surveillance and targeting support to deployed elements of the Australian Defence Force and allied forces. His experience includes leadership, management and operations positions in intelligence, counter-intelligence, security, and electronic warfare. Sutton will be based in Canberra, where he will head up Mediaware’s Brindabella Business Park office.
