Tech sector jobs boom drives employment

A tech sector resurgence is driving genral employment growth across Australia according to a new monthly jobs report.

The monthly Olivier Internet Job Index, from recruiter The Olivier Group, rose 1.34% in September, the ninth successive increase in a row, taking it to yet another record, driven largely by the tech sector.

The tech sector resurgence has been driving the jobs market. The IT and Telecommunications sector is up this month by 4.58%, principally in software development and  management/sales roles. The smaller but trendier Multimedia Internet and Graphics sector has soared by 17.08% in the month, and 90.75% over 12 months.
