Unwired's WiMAX supplier picked for Bulgaria-wide network

US-based Navini Networks, of which the largest customer is presently Australian wireless broadband operator, Unwired, has been chosen to supply Bulgarian operator, Max Telecom, with a nationwide mobile WiMAX 802.16e network.


Max Telecom will launch service in the capital Sofia and plans to expand nationwide during 2007, offering services to business and residential customers. Bulgaria has a population of 7.5 million spread over an area of 110,000 square kms. About three million live in the seven largest cities, according to Wikipedia.
