Optus launches Nokia Lumia 800 pre-order deals

The handset, the first Nokia device to become available in Australia running Microsoft's relatively new mobile entrant dubbed Windows Phone 7, will become available for purchase from the 1st March, 2012.

However Optus today announced that it is now accepting pre-orders for the handset that features an 8MP camera that supports HD 720p video capturing, 16GB of internal memory, an AMOLED display, a 1.4GHz Scorpion CPU and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

'To celebrate the first Nokia with Windows Phone handset, Optus customers can snap up the stylish smartphone on one of two offers exclusive to online orders, including $0 upfront on a $49 Optus Cap Plan for consumers (24 month contract, min total cost $1176) or for $0 upfront on a $49 Business Complete plan for small and medium business (SMBs) customers (24 month contract, min total cost $1176),' the company said in a statement today.

Optus also spruiked the Lumia 710 that will be available from the 'beginning' of March on the $29 cap and $29 business plan.
