Google goes live with 2011 Christmas doodle
Google Australia's latest blog post looks at small businesses in Australia and how they responded to Google asking 'What are you working for?' Although there were a multitude of varying responses Google was able to narrow it down to two things that seemed to resonate across all answers, those being a passion for what they did and a desire for more time to focus on their business rather than on operation details, such as technology.
Last year Google launched Getting Aussie Business Online in an effort to make it easier for small business to better utilise technology and help them succeed, and yesterday they furthered this cause by launching What are you working for another resource to help small businesses learn how to use the Internet technologies to operate more efficiently.
The what are you working for website is aimed at business owners and managers giving them the opportunity to learn from their peers around Australia who have already gone through implementations of the Google Apps suit. As well as providing a number of past success stories the site also contains a repository of relevant content from Google and from around the web on a number of topics centred around how small business works.
For those interested there is 30 day free trial of Google Apps to experience the benefits of the tools in their own business environment.
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
