Data centre operator NEXTDC has received development approval for its planned Perth facility at Malaga.

The plans for P1 have an areas of 10.500 square metres (with 3000 square metres of technical space), a tri-generation plant and direct free air cooling. 2000 square metres of office space will be available to customers as part of their business continuity plans.
P1 will be the largest independent data centre in WA, company officials claimed, and will be aimed at mining and resources companies, corporate and government bodies, and cloud providers.
