Stack Overflow announced this years DevDay in June, with a series of them to be held across the world including the US and the UK.
In a first for the event '” which has been running since 2009 '” Sydney was named as being the first ever Australian city to host the Stack Overflow conference.
'For the first time ever, we'll be visiting one city in Australia, for an antipodean increase of infinity percent,' Stack Overflow's Joel Spolsky wrote at the time.
The event was scheduled to be held at the Sydney Showground between October 25-26, with a number of sessions set to cover different methodologies, tips, tricks and development tools for software development.
According to Stack Overflow, the DevDay event was to be different from normal development conferences, featuring no PowerPoint slides, talks from 'domain experts' who 'know their stuff' and speakers chosen on skill rather than sponsorship.
Popular online developer Q&A site Stack Overflow has today announced it has canned its upcoming series of DevDay conferences, including one to be held in Sydney, Australia in late October.
