SuccessFactors to expand Australian data centre

IT Industry - Strategy

SaaS provider SuccessFactors is preparing to expand its local data centre, in part to meet Government requirements for onshore processing and storage.

Hosted business software provider SuccessFactors will expand its Australian data centre to handle growing local and regional demand.

The company is enjoying its fastest growth in the Asia Pacific region, and already has more than 250 clients. Worldwide, it has 3500 clients using a total of around 15 million seats, but Australia has consistently beem one of the fastest growing markets.

Expanding the Australian data centre will allow SuccessFactors to offer its complete BizX software suite - including Workforce Planning and Analytics, Goal Alignment, Performance Management, Employee Central, Recruiting Management, Learning and Social Learning - with onshore hosting. The company already has more than 30 Australian Government agencies and departments on its books, and the expansion will make the full range of modules available to them.

SuccessFactors officials said its US and Europe based customers with employees in Asia Pacific would also benefit from the changes.

"Australia is an important market for cloud computing, and SuccessFactors is committed to continued leadership in this region," said Murray Sargant, SuccessFactors' vice president for APAC. "With a strong presence in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane, SuccessFactors has demonstrated its continued commitment to Australia and the importance of this country as a cloud computing hub for the Asia Pacific region."
