Construction needs cloud flexibility

Australia’s embattled construction sector could benefit from cloud based information systems that can be switched on and off in lockstep with individual projects – with the exception of those organisations based in remote areas like the Kimberleys.

You watch a YouTube video, a charity gets $1

Regardless of whether or not you previously sent an eSmile, there's still time to prise more dollars out of HP - all in a good cause.

Earlier this month, HP ran a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House in Randwick (Sydney) that also publicised the remote printing capabilities of some of its recent models.

HP donated $1 for every 'eSmile' (a personalised photo card, a get well letter, get well drawings and cartoons, photos, jokes or anything else that would make a kid laugh) sent to an ePrint-enabled printer installed at Ronald McDonald House Randwick.

We don't know if the project came in well under budget when it closed on December 12 or if HP has got even deeper into the Christmas spirit, but the company is now offering to donate $1 for every time the eSmiles video is watched on YouTube.

The upper limit is $10,000, but at the time of writing the tally was less than 400.
