Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Nortel says its revenue will be slightly down and its losses slightly greater for Q1 2006, but it expects to achieve good revenue growth in the full year.
Commenting on the company's financial expectations, Peter Currie, executive vice president and CFO, said, "For the first quarter of 2006, we expect revenues to be flat to down slightly and a slightly higher loss compared to the first quarter of 2005... We expect strong revenue momentum for the rest of 2006, resulting in high single digit growth for the full year 2006 compared to 2005. For the full year, we expect gross margin to be around 40 percent as a percentage of revenue and operating expenses to be flat to up slightly from 2005, with foreign exchange and growth related expenses off-setting productivity and efficiencies."
Nortel posted revenues of $US10.8 billion for 2005, and reports suggest the market is looking for $US11.54 billion this year, which would require a 6.9 percent increase. Nortel says it expects to file its Q1 reports no later than the week of June 5, 2006.
