Huawei comes out of its shell with new logo

China's largest telecoms manufacturer Huawei Technologies Co has changed its corporate logo to an updated version of the earlier 'shell' symbol.
The company says that, with the introduction of the new visual identity, it will "develop more steadily in an international and professional direction, focus increasingly on customers, and grow in a healthy way by creating a harmonious business environment together with its customers, partners and peers".

"Changing our logo demonstrates our readiness and capability to take on future opportunities and challenges together with our customers," said chief marketing officer, Dr ZhiJun Xu,

Huawei says the new logo is "A confident and optimistic symbol, the new logo conveys a sense of maturity and steadiness in a professional and international manner".
