Australian primary schools have the chance to win interactive whiteboards and video projectors.
To promote a new educational resource from the Australia Institute of Sport, Hitachi is offering primary schools the chance to win a StarBoard interactive whiteboard and an CP-A52 ultra short throw projector during each week of the school year from March 1, 2010.
The Get the AIS into your Classroom resource kit is available to suit the syllabuses applying in each state and territory. Some schools and parents may see Nestlé's sponsorship of the kit as a point against it.
To win one of the 36 StarBoard and projector kits, primary school teachers must register their school at
AIS Into Your Classroom, outline how the school encourages good health and nutrition, and then demonstrate student involvement with participation in an online nutrition quiz.
"Supporting the AIS StarBoard Challenge is the perfect fit to help us achieve our goal of providing schools around Australia with the latest in education technology innovations," said Dipak Kumar, general manager of the digital technology solutions group at Hitachi Australia.
"We would like to see students not only keep their bodies fit and healthy but their minds too, through the enhanced classroom interactivity offered by the Hitachi StarBoard interactive whiteboards and ultra short throw projectors," he added.
