Avaya, Juniper team to offer end to end service for IP networks

Avaya and Juniper Networks are to work together to deliver "secure, reliable intelligent communications to distributed enterprises worldwide".

Avaya's expertise in enterprise IP telephony and Juniper's  expertise in IP networking and security will be combined to create a range of offerings, including: distributed IP telephony; secure IP Telephony on any network; virtual contact centre, enterprise mobility.

These services will be supported by Avaya Global Services, which will be providing "comprehensive end to end services for Juniper products". The company aims to have maintenance and implementation in place by February 2006, Avaya Global Services will provide a single point of contact and accountability to assist in the plan, design, implementation and support as well as managed services for customers using Juniper networking products.

One of the first customers for the joint offering is Australia's St George Bank which has deployed a Juniper integrated firewall and VPN to secure its corporate network and critical resources, and Avaya MultiVantage call centre solutions.
