Matthew Lobb, NBN Co senior advisor, has been elected to the board of the Communications Alliance (CA). Two other directors were re-elected.
Board elections following today's CA annual general meeting saw two directors re-elected and one appointed for the first time.
NBN Co senior advisor Matthew Lobb is the new board member, while Matt Healy of Macquarie Telecom and Ric Clark of Alcatel-Lucent were re-elected.
CA chair Neville Stevens said there were a record number of nominations and many votes cast.
"We congratulate Matt Healy and Ric Clark on their re-election and are delighted to welcome Matthew Lobb to the Board for the first time," he said.
They will serve a two-year term, commencing December 1.
The CA board consists of an independent chairman, three to five seats reserved for 'high revenue' members of the Alliance (eg, Telstra and Optus), a similar number reserved for carrier and carriage service providers, and two or three open to the entire membership.
CA is the peak body for the Australian communications industry.
