Apple's 'Black Friday' sale reaches Australia

IT Industry - Strategy

US retailers are in the habit of offering dramatically reduced prices on the day after Thanksgiving, the traditional start of the Christmas buying season. Apple's no exception, and this year its Australian customers are also in for savings.

Apple Australia has announced a one-day "shopping event" on Friday, November 27.

Unspecified sale prices will be offered at the Apple Online Store and to those who order via phone (133 622) between 00:01 and 23:59 on the day.

"Select offers" will be available at Apple Stores in Australia, but the catch is that not all sale products will be available in all stores, and the special prices only apply while stocks last.

Apple Stores are located in Sydney (CBD and Chatswood), Melbourne (Chadstone and Doncaster), Brisbane (Chermside) and the Gold Coast (Robina).

So if you have an Apple purchase in mind - whether it's for yourself or as a gift - Friday might be the day to dig out the credit card.
