The running of TPP will continue to be controlled by TPP
CEO and joint shareholder, Chris Collinge, and Bloch said OGS hoped to
provide additional ancillary services to TPP and across all brands to
provide a more complete online service.
In a veiled reference to Melbourne IT, Bloch
said that “business owners need an online business services champion to
make access to the best online technologies and ideas as clear, simple
and productive as possible. We believe we are that champion and will
continue to cement that position.”
Chris Collinge says that TPP customers will not notice any changes following the acquisition and that it is “business as usual.”
Meanwhile, Bloch revealed that OGS is continuing to look for further
acquisitions, which he boasts will secure its hold as “Australia’s
leading webhost and domain registrar.
“If you have thousands of domain and hosting customers, I would be
interested to hear from you. However, our focus is shifting towards the
next phase of our strategic plan, to grow the range of business
management services we provide to our 300,000 active Australian
business customers.”
According to Bloch, as the hosting demands of businesses grow larger
and more complex, he believes many are turning to larger, established
providers.
“Many smaller web hosts can’t compete with the kind of scalable, high
tolerance infrastructure we offer. The web is evolving incredibly fast
and infrastructures need to evolve with it. Keeping up with that
requires a great deal of investment, forward planning and constant
growth.”
And, he maintains that the success and growth of OGS is tightly linked
to the “achievements of customers served by the various brands in the
group.”
Bloch claims that, despite the Global Financial Crisis, OGS saw growth
of over 40 percent for the ’09 financial year, and that “online
business has remained strong throughout the year for our customers and,
by extension, us. This reinforces research early in 09 that showed
business confidence online did not fall nearly as dramatically as it
did offline.”

secure its hold as “Australia’s leading webhost and domain registrar.”
“If you have thousands of domain and hosting customers, I would be
interested to hear from you,” says Bloch. “However, our focus is
shifting towards the next phase of our strategic plan: to grow the
range of business management services we provide to our 300,000 active
Australian business customers.”
“However, I am excited by the opportunity to further enhance the
excellent service TPP provides. As part of this market leading group we
have greater access to resources and products to deliver to our
business customers.”
