Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Schneider Electric’s APC has extended its partnership with IT distributor, Ingram Micro, who will now distribute APC’s range of data centre solutions to its reseller partners.
Ingram Micro has distributed APC’s range of UPS
and rack solutions for the past eight years, and the company’s general
manager enterprise technology group, David Lenz, says it will now also
distribute APC’s flagship network-critical physical architecture
solution InfraStruXure, and its range of data centre power distribution
and cooling solutions, including the InRow Cooling solution.
According to Lenz, there continues to be a strong trend from businesses
to consolidate their data centres using virtualisation technology and
reduce costs by increasing energy efficiency in the data centre, and,
he says “they require new data centre hardware to support their high
density computing requirements and reduce power consumption.
“The addition of APC’s solutions makes Ingram Micro a one stop shop for
data centre solutions, delivering our resellers the complete range of
data centre hardware and software their customers require to support
their new computing environments.
“APC’s data centre solutions complement our existing offerings and enable us to offer resellers a complete range of products.”

APC’s, channel sales manager, Pacific, Bart Mascorella, said Ingram
Micro had been a “committed and longstanding partner of APC for many
years,” adding that the “appointment of Ingram Micro to this important
solutions technology area is not only a recognition of that commitment,
but also of the growth of the Ingram Micro APC business and of the
overall growth of the solutions market in ANZ.”
David Lenz said Ingram Micro had also appointed a new solutions
architect to support reseller engagement and provide them with a
“dedicated enterprise configuration and test laboratory to help them
design high-end solutions for their customers.”
