Westnet officially brings ABC iView into view, too

iiNet, iPrimus and iNternode (ok, Internode) have all gone down the unmetered ABC iView path, and now iiNet subsidiary Westnet has done the same, too.

Although there’s a small notification on Westnet’s home page that ABC iView is now available on an unmetered basis, just like parent company iiNet, the official announcement isn’t to be found on Westnet’s PR section or its blog – it’s over in the Whirlpool forums.

Here, Westnet representative Clare Witham says: “It’s a hat-trick! Westnet Freezone Now Includes iTunes, Xbox LIVE and ABC iView!

“After months of anticipation, Westnet is thrilled to welcome three huge new additions to the Westnet Freezone:

“iTunes
Get VIP access to the iTunes Store (Australia) with unmetered downloads of the latest movies, TV shows, over 8 million songs, plus music videos, audiobooks, Apps and more.

“ABC iView
Plus, you can now find the latest ABC programs through ABC iView. Watch ABC iView completely quota free through Westnet Freezone! ABC iView is the best of ABC TV, on-demand immediately after it broadcasts!

“Xbox LIVE
In partnership with Xbox LIVE, Westnet is now offering all unmetered Xbox LIVE* on Westnet Freezone. Enter the ultimate social entertainment experience as you create your own avatar, download game demos, trailers, arcade games and console updates without it affecting your monthly quota.

“(*at this stage some or most gaming traffic will still be counted towards your quota – we are currently working to accurately identify this traffic and may unmeter this traffic if possible in the near future.)
