BT Radianz opens PoP in Taiwan

IT Industry - Strategy

BT Radianz, the division of BT Global Services that provides international connectivity to the financial services industry has installed points of presence (PoPs) and upgraded its sales and customer services in Taiwan.

It says that, as a result, banks and brokerages in Taiwan will gain direct access to BT Radianz's shared market infrastructure, allowing them to improve performance, increase market intelligence gathering and reduce latency. "BT Radianz's straight-through processing (STP) chain will allow members of its global community to reach targeted customers in Taiwan more effectively by using RadianzNet's expanded footprint and end-to-end network management capabilities."

The company says that the ability of BT Radianz to expand its presence in Asia-Pacific is a direct result of the acquisition of Radianz by BT Group in April 2005, and that the move into Taiwan is "the first step in BT Radianz's plan to extend the reach of its existing, 3,000-member community in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore."
