Red Hat and HP establish Linux test lab for enterprises

Linux vendor Red Hat has established a joint performance lab with HP for customers deploying enterprise storage solutions.

The new Storage Solutions and Performance Test Lab will be located at Red Hat's headquarters in Raleigh, North carolina.   The announcement builds upon the companies’ recent announcement that they would deliver a bundle to include HP Serviceguard for Linux with Red Hat Global File System (GFS).

The objectives of the lab include testing and configuring of solutions using the products from the portfolio of both companies, including Red Hat Global File System (GFS) and HP StorageWorks and Serviceguard.  Key areas of focus will be performance and integration testing of application solutions, in order to produce best practices, solution guides, and white papers to assist customers with the deployment of storage solutions across Linux environments.   Additionally, the lab will serve as a forum for customers to visit and preview current and future technologies from Red Hat and HP.
