AT&T has announced deployment of a global IP VPN for The Travel Corporation, which owns several well-known tour operators including Trafalgar Tours, Contiki Holidays and Insight Vacations.
The network "spans multiple continents and supports The Travel Corp's subsidiaries in Toronto, London, Anaheim, Sydney, Geneva and other cities worldwide."

It supports the company's travel reservation and operation system, videoconferencing, e-mail, and back-office applications and links the company's international offices directly to each other and to the data centre.  According to AT&T, "the network also sets the stage for advanced technologies such as VoIP."

Travel Corp group CIO, Amir Nadel, claimed that "AT&T was the only company providing the service at the level we required in all the countries we do business." Financial terms of the multi-year contract were not disclosed.
