Avocent adds Anixter to disty ranks

Avocent has enlarged its distribution channels with the appointment of Anixter as a value added distributor for Australia and New Zealand.

The infrastructure management supplier hopes the deal will boost its visibility when potential customers are building new data centres or refitting existing facilities.

"Avocent is reliant on a strong partner channel that helps fuel the company's growth and with Anixter we both now share a common vision of delivering high-value solutions to our customers that address business challenges and management concerns for both physical and virtual infrastructures," said Ed Havlik, ANZ country manager at Avocent.

Anixter is already an Avocent elite partner in the US.

Daniel Sultana, Anixter Australia's regional manager, said, "Our product set compliments Avocent's best of breed product portfolio perfectly in servicing the needs of enterprise data centres, small/medium businesses and branch offices from the server to the desktop."
