Skype has teamed with Musicway to push Skype-certified hardware into stores.
The company already distributes a wide range of mobility and entertainment-related products to thousands of stores around Australia.
"Skype has taken off in Australia and there are now well over one million subscribers here," said Chris Lewis, head of marketing and business development in the Asia-Pacific region for Skype.
"With the huge growth in subscriptions comes a burgeoning demand for the widespread availability of hardware peripherals and our partnership with Musicway will ensure Australian consumers are able to buy products approved by Skype in numerous retail chains across the country."
The Skype-branded products will include starter kits, webcams and headsets.
"Our aim to supply 100 percent of top sellers to our customers on time, all the time and this has helped us to establish strong partnerships with many globally popular brand-name accessory manufacturers and market their products successfully throughout Australia," said Musicway MD Mike Hollyman.
