Consulting and services company Satyam has opened a 150-seat development centre in North Sydney.
The new facility is an addition to existing centres in Melbourne and central Sydney.
"Australia is an important marketplace for Satyam, and this new centre will offer the same expertise and project management capabilities typified by our Australian operations. These capabilities will provide customers throughout the region with the improved agility and responsiveness they need to excel in a competitive business environment," said B Rama Raju, Satyam's co-founder and CEO.
Country manager Deepak Nangia added "We are very pleased to establish this regional solutions hub in Sydney, which will bolster our efforts to create development centres focused on data warehousing, enterprise applications, and managed services."
The company plans to recruit 50 graduates during the next three months, and another 50 next year. This will bring Satyam's total Australian workforce to 700.
