Wipro Infotech acquires Singapore’s 3D Networks

Wipro Infotech, part the Wipro conglomerate, has bought two Singapore-based companies, 3D Networks and Planet PSG, in a $23 million all-cash deal.

3D Networks and Planet PSG are subsidiaries of the Singapore-based Planet One Pte Ltd. The other group companies of Planet One include Net ProActive Services and FCS Computer Systems.

3D Networks provides communication solutions that include consulting, voice, data and converged solutions and managed services which are deployed in ITES/IT, telecom, banking and finance, government and services verticals. During 2005-06, the company clocked revenues of approximately $36 million, with growth of 39%, year on year. Its India development center has about 270 employees.

Planet PSG is the sole global Nortel technical (professional) services partner on periphonics platform in APAC region and provides professional services on voice and speech platforms in the region.
