Australian online fulfilment company, ShippingEasy.com, has integrated with four eCommerce platforms - Drupal, Joomla, PrestaShop and Volusion - and cemented a new courier partnership with Direct Couriers, in a move which the company says will, for the first time, provide online and offline SME retailers with access to a 'true multi-channel online shipping platform.'

ShippingEasy founder, Mark Helvadjian, claims that the new integrations cement the company's position as Australia's 'first true aggregator of multiple eCommerce stores for unified online shipping,' giving small businesses in Australia the best online shipping choices, and 'help them to save money, time and hassle.'

Helvadjian says that in the next four years eCommerce is expected to account for almost thirty per cent of retail growth in Australia, as more consumers make the move to purchase online and this provides a 'real opening for small businesses looking to compete domestically, as well as on a global scale.'

'Online retail presents a massive opportunity for Australian SMEs, with shipping being a critical consideration for both customer service and bottom line costs. However, it can also be a headache for small business owners.

'Almost fifty per cent of online purchases are abandoned by customers at the point of checkout, due to the lack of shipping options. ShippingEasy.com helps retailers address this by negotiating the best courier deals available, across multiple eCommerce platforms, ultimately helping them to deliver better customer service, while increasing sales,' Helvadjian said.

Helvadjian  Direct Couriers' managing director, Barry Reichman, said online retail presented a massive opportunity for Australian SMEs, with shipping being a critical consideration for both customer service and bottom line costs,' continued Helvadjian. 'However, it can also be a headache for small business owners.
