Compuware has joined HP and IBM at the top of the leaderboard as the third largest global system management Software-as- a-Service (SaaS) vendor.
With HP and IBM ranked first and second respectively, Compuware had the highest growth rate of the top five vendors, according to the latest industry rankings released by IDC.
According to IDC’s market report - “Worldwide System Management Software-as-a-Service 2011-2015 Forecast and 2010 Vendor Shares - Compuware’s application performance management (APM) business unit ranked third, with the company’s SaaS revenue estimated at $49.0 million, representing an 11.5 percent market share.
IDC says that Compuware’s 18.1 percent growth rate from 2009 to 2010 was the highest out of the top five vendors and higher than the top two vendors combined, with HP at minus 4.5 percent and IBM at 1.7 percent. Compuware’s high growth moved it to third place in 2010, up from fifth place in 2009.
Senior vice president and general manager of Compuware’s APM business unit, Bruce Reading, said the company continues to innovate and invest in its APM business to “ensure our customers increase revenues, profitability and brand equity by optimising application performance across the entire application delivery chain.”
According to Reading, the IDC ranking reaffirms Compuware’s strength and leadership in the system management SaaS market and shows that its “aggressive growth strategy is working.”
