Pro rata, Internode had fewest TIO complaints

In an analysis of complaints about Internet services statistics blog site Bernoulli Trial has found that Internode recorded the lowest rate of TIO complaint numbers compared to its market share.

The blog compared Internet complaint numbers  lodged with the TIO for each ISP with their estimated market share, based on Roy Morgan Research during 2010.

Internode, with an estimated market share of 2.9 percent, attracted 0.8 percent of complaints. The analysis calculates the total ISP market as including both fixed line and wireless Internet services.

According to the site Internode achieved normalised score of 3448, with the industry average being 1000. Primus with 1.1 percent market share came in second with a score of 2793 and Adam Internet (0.4 percent market share) was in third place with a score of 2528. The top three ISPs by market share: Telstra BigPond (47.8 percent); Optus (17.2) and iiNet, including AAPT & Westnet (11.0) came in at eighth, fifth and sixth places respectively with scores of 883, 1853 and 1843.

Dodo with 3.9 percent market share and a score of 634 was saved from last place by 3/Vodafone which scored 316 based on its 3.9 percent market share estimate.
