Teaming up for ANZ growth push

IT Industry - Market

Minnesota-based US software engineering firm, TEAM Informatics (TEAM) has just completed its purchase of Sydney-based TEAMFusion5, following its acquisition earlier this year of a controlling interest in the Australian company.

TEAM Informatics CEO, Dave Shannon, said that as a result of the purchase, TEAMFusion5 will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of TEAM. According to Shannon, TEAM is augmenting its organization in the region, adding technical staff and local management.

'This will enable consulting projects and enterprise support engagements to be managed locally in a highly responsive manner. Collaboration with TEAM's US group will continue, offering ANZ customers access to best practices and industry leading knowledge in Oracle ECM and related product areas.'

TEAM's executive vice president of global sales, Doug Thompson said 'this action reinforces TEAM's commitment to the region. TEAM has worked for over 10 years with many customers in the region to implement Oracle products. We look forward to increased support of our customers, as well as opportunity to grow within the ANZ market.'

With completion of the transaction, TEAMFusion5 has been renamed TEAM Informatics Pty Ltd, and in addition, TEAM has formed a subsidiary in New Zealand, TEAM Informatics Limited.

Thompson said TEAM plans a rebranding and promotion program to reinforce its presence and identity in the Australia-New Zealand market, and will also be introducing new products as its strategy unfolds.
