Mega-pixel showcase at security exhibition

IT Industry - Market

One of Australia’s largest computer distribution companies, Altech Computers, is to unveil a new range of VIVOTEK cameras at this year’s Security 2010 trade show to be staged at Sydney’s Darling harbour next month.

Altech surveillance manager, Adam Storo, said the range of new camera’s would include a new 1 Mega-pixel indoor dome, 1 Mega-pixel outdoor bullet and 1.3 Mega-pixel full body cameras recording at a full 25 frames per second (PAL) with real time resolution and night visibility.

According to Storo, the new mega pixel cameras will be on show for the first time in Australia by Altech as the master distributor for VIVOTEK.

“VIVOTEK have worked very hard in closing the gap (cost wise) between analogue and an IP Mega-pixel recording system. With the release of these cameras it is now possible to have a very affordable IP Mega-pixel recording system. One of the major advantages in using the new cameras are they achieve full recording frames per second, which has always been an issue when moving from analogue to IP Mega-pixel recording.”

Storo said Altech will exhibit at Security 2010 - which runs from 1 to 3 September - at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre, showcasing a range of products from VIVOTEK, Geovision and ICU covering analogue, IP and wireless technologies, as well as the brand new Samsung 6 monitor matrix display.
