Business intelligence software produced by TechnologyOne has won a 2010 Australian Business Award in the best e-business product category, with the company one of 105 recipients chosen from almost 1850 entries submitted by more than 950 organisations.
The Australian Business Award for best e-business product recognises products or services that demonstrate 'innovative and strategic application of the internet, communications and information technology'.
The award is part of a national program honouring organisations that demonstrate business and product excellence, sustainability and commercial success in their industry.
TechnologyOne executive chairman, Adrian Di Marco, said that the award illustrated the company's 'commitment to developing best in class software in Australia and providing real value to customers across the globe.'
According to DiMarco, since launching in 2008, TechnologyOne Business Intelligence has been 'embraced by more than 230 customers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom including the FKP Property Group, the whole of Government Samoa and The Salvation Army (Australian and New Zealand), Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet, Arab Bank and SEQ Water.'
'The product integrates tightly with TechnologyOne's suite of enterprise software and is built on the company's powerful Connected Intelligence (Ci) platform.
DiMarco claims that one of the significant benefits of TechnologyOne Business Intelligence is that the dashboard can be 'personalised for individual staff members, so they can see the information they need to perform their roles including gauges, which show when there might be an issue.
'The unique 'BI with action' offering lets users click on an area of concern and drill down into a system to find the source of a problem. This saves time and money as users are able to manage by exception,' DiMarco added.
TechnologyOne's Peter Gill, who has responsibility for the development of the Business Intelligence product, said the solution's success lies in its ability to cater to all employees across an organisation.
'We believe these tools should be available to the whole organisation rather than just senior management - by ensuring the right information is delivered to the right people at the right time, TechnologyOne Business Intelligence empowers all employees to take action.
'It provides end users with data mining capabilities in an extremely intuitive environment, and thereby taps into and builds on the collective intelligence of the organisation.'
