Go Google, Gone Google: Devnet, Google combine on apps support

With Google Australia’s launch this week of its Gone Google campaign educating users to the benefits and reasons for adopting its Apps suite, Google partner, Devnet, today weighed in with its own Go Google campaign offering local support for the Aps suite which Devnet says already has more than 500 users in Australia, and continues to grow. 

Devnet managing director, Craig Deveson, said today that the company had launched its ‘Go Google, Go Devnet” campaign, “aimed at customers who want to benefit from the easily managed, highly collaborative Google Apps suite, but who still want personal, local support.”

According to Deveson, while the ease-of-management and highly collaborative nature of the cloud-based Google Apps appealed to many businesses, “not all were comfortable running their business on software without a strong level of local, customer support,” and he added, “with its mature local support infrastructure and its world-first cloud ready program, Devnet has implemented Google Apps, at an increasing number of Australian businesses with more than 500 users.”

"We think it makes sense for most businesses to 'Go Google', however, we know that a lot of companies like to have a local company who they can turn to for support and advice."

This week, Google announced that it was launching its Gone Google campaign in Australia, with the aim of education users to the benefits and reasons to adopt the Google Apps suite, and boasting that more than two million businesses and 20 million users in over 100 countries, and more than 40 languages, have adopted Google Apps for their workplace.

Deveson says that signing up to Google Apps, via a partner like Devnet, “ensures that you have local phone support and a support partner that can guide you through any implementation or adoption issues."
