NAMCO BANDAI has completed the absorption of Atari in the PAL regions of the globe. The immediate effect is a rebranding to NAMCO BANDAI Partners.
Known as Atari 2 when it was reborn as a publishing and distribution arm, the long-time iconic video game brand Atari has disappeared again from PAL regions worldwide as NAMCO BANDAI completes the brands purchase.
The publisher of games such as Tomb Raider, Demigod, EVE Online, Ghostbusters, Silent Hill: Homecoming sees the new partnership as a positive: “We are very excited about working with all our valued partners in retail, media and publishing to grow what is already a successful distribution business even further as part of the NAMCO BANDAI Games family,” said Jackie Fromion, CEO of NAMCO BANDAI Partners. “With our committed and experienced teams of professionals around the world we provide a first class distribution solution, and we very much hope to see a growing number of publishers taking advantage of this. Our vision is to be a successful, attractive and profitable company as well as a great place to work.”

NAMCO BANDAI Partners will now be the name operating out of 17 offices across 50 countries. The regions affected include UK, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Nordic, Benelux, Greece, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
