Object Consulting opens doors in ACT

IT Industry - Market

ICT trainer and enterprise software developer, Object Consulting, has opened a new office in Canberra to service existing customers in the Federal capital.

Object's capability improvement division, formed after the acquisition of Software Engineering Australia's consulting and training businesses earlier this year, will provide a full range of end-to-end software process improvement services, targeting both the enterprise and government markets. The new consulting services include CMMI assessment and appraisals, as well as existing process improvement products such as Object's own development methodology.

Dr Julian Edwards, chief operating officer, Object Consulting said, 'We're very excited to have extended our presence in Canberra to a formal office following solid growth across our entire business.  With the opening of a Canberra office, we continue to invest in the future of the Australian software industry by further extending the geographical reach of our consulting and training services.  The new office also reinforces our commitment to servicing the Federal Government market.'

Object Consulting currently has 200 employees, with offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and sources close to the company say that it could put on as many as 50 additional staff in the coming year.
