Telstra has launched a comprehensive new website that it promises will enable job-seekers to "enjoy an interactive experience and gain first-hand insights into why Telstra is a great career destination."

The site "Telstra Careers - Your Future.Now" (careers.telstra.com) will showcase individual Telstra employees on Telstra TV "sharing their personal experiences on how a career with the company connects with their goals and passions, and why our work here is world class, challenging and rewarding."

The site also features information from major career streams on offer within Telstra, such as Call Centres, Sales & Account Management, and IT & communications. There are descriptions of a wide variety of roles within Telstra, each accompanied by profiles of people holding such roles.

Potential applicants can search by job category and by location (refinable to a number of locations within each state or territory). However this function appeared to have some teething troubles when iTWire trialled it: no matter what location or category we put in it returned 105 jobs.

Applicants can also submit a profile so they can be contacted when an opportunity that matches their employment preferences arises.
