QMASTOR seals contract deal with Australian iron ore producer

IT Industry - Market

QMASTOR, a provider of specialist management information systems and services, has secured a major contract with an Australian iron ore producer for the provision of Horizon Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) software.

QMASTOR Managing Director Trent Bagnall said the contract covered software licensing and services with the majority of revenue expected to be received in the 08/09 financial year.

QMASTOR will supply the client with an optimised APS solution for their two iron ore export ports in Western Australia.

“The Horizon application will provide a platform for optimised planning and execution of shipping logistics at the two ports. QMASTOR's solution will help the client to improve product throughput, minimise demurrage and optimise resource utilisation.

"Horizon APS is a recent addition to QMASTOR's product portfolio that has facilitated a number of new contract wins over the past 4 months, and this success in the ports sector reaffirms QMASTOR's vision to be the leading supplier of software solutions across the entire mining supply chain," Bagnall claimed.
