Majitek’s Chairman, Russell Bate announced today that Dubai-based property industry veteran Bernie Devine had been appointed as the new group chief executive officer and that it would open a Middle East base of operations in Dubai Internet City.
Russell Bate said that Dubai was the epicenter of a multi-trillion dollar Middle Eastern property industry, creating the most ambitious development projects in the world, and Dubai industry veteran, Devine would bring more than 25 years of IT experience in the property sector to his new role at Majitek.
“Over his extensive career he has designed and implemented operational infrastructure for developers of large buildings, campuses, gated communities, and entirely new cities – most recently the iconic ‘Palm Jumeirah’, the man-made island home to 100,000 residents,” Mr Bate said.
Russell Bate, said the Majitek Service Delivery Platform enabled any device or system connected to a network to be accessed on a pay per use basis. “Combined with its highly scalable Cloud Computing architecture it is uniquely positioned to enable all devices and systems within an entire city to be offered as ‘utility services’ – the ultimate ‘City-as-a-Service’ play.”
Bernie Devine said: “the Majitek platform enables entirely new ways for property developers to offer a differentiated user experience whilst reduce operating costs, improving service levels and generating new sources of revenue.”
Prior to joining Majitek, Bernie Devine was general manager of information systems with Dubai-based megaprojects developer, Nakheel, builders of The Palm Islands, The World, Dubai Waterfront City and the upcoming ‘Tall Tower’, reputed to be the tallest building in the world.
