NEC gets in on the act with its own incentives for business

IT Industry - Market

NEC is putting up its own incentives for Australian businesses taking advantage of the Government's investment allowance, by offering free Unified Messaging licenses with a range of new telephony starter packages.

NEC announced today that companies purchasing NEC's VoIP communications systems are eligible under the Government scheme to a 30% investment allowance in the first year on the purchase, and can now benefit from free unified messaging software licensing.

Steve Woff, Unified Communications Business Manager, NEC Australia said, "with the uncertainty around the economy, we recognise that businesses are looking for more benefits and returns from their investments.  Our new range of telephony starter packs is designed to help Australian SMBs benefit from UC functionality and quality phone systems, easily and cost effectively.  The Government investment allowance is a great boost for companies and we hope to build on that by offering free Unified Messaging with our UC bundles as further incentive."

Woff said that, as part of NEC's unified communications strategy, the company was offering a range of telephony starter packs including an SMB communications server and free software licenses to allow businesses to deploy unified messaging and IP based voice functionality.
