Below is the Apple family shot. From top to bottom, the iPhone 3G, the
original iPhone and the iPod touch - each thicker than the last.
With the release of the iPhone 3G, iPhone and iPod touch owners are anticipating a software update to incorporate some of the new functionality of the iPhone 3G.
Even though the iPhone 3G doesn't fit in the original iPhone's cradle, the USB cable supplied with the original iPhone does fit into the iPhone 3G.
As such, many original iPhone accessories may still be compatible with the iPhone 3G.
Note the redesigned speakers on the iPhone 3G, contributing to the improved call and music playback quality.
The new design should also reduce the amount or lint and grime that finds its way into the speakers of the original iPhone if you keep it in your pocket.
The two screws are quite curious - who wants to bet people will try to unscrew them to see if the back case comes off?
