Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
IT services provider SMS Management & Technology Limited (ASX:SMX) has signed a sale and purchase agreement to acquire technology services provider, REALTECH Australia Pty Ltd.
REALTECH provides a range of extended
enterprise services to Australian corporations, with a focus on
enterprise application consulting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
system implementation and full-line service helpdesk. Once acquired,
REALTECH will operate from the SMS offices in New South Wales, Victoria
and Queensland.
REALTECH will form part of the Company’s new business division – SMS Enterprise Solutions.
SMS Enterprise Solutions will provide services around a broad range of
solutions associated with enterprise deployments including greenfield
deployments, system upgrades, modifications, ongoing user support and
maintenance contracts.
Commenting on the new business division, SMS CEO Tom Stianos said,
"This is an important milestone in the execution of the Company’s five
year strategic plan. The Enterprise Solutions business will enable SMS
to better respond to clients who require a more comprehensive service
offering, particularly in relation to their ERP strategy."
REALTECH Managing Director Stephen Lloyd-Jones said, "Joining SMS gives
us the opportunity to combine our enterprise experience with the track
record of one of the most reputable management and technology services
companies in Australia. We look forward to assisting SMS to extend its
services in the enterprise arena."
SMS is currently considering a number of complementary acquisitions to accelerate growth in the Enterprise Solutions area.
