Vocus wins Deloitte Technology Fast 50 with 11,000 percent growth

IT Industry - Listed Tech

Vocus Communications has topped the list of the Deloitte 2010 Technology Fast 50, reporting revenue growth of 11,305.60 percent over the last year.

Other communications also fared well. Anittel - the company formed by Peter Kazacos from Hostech (which remains the listed entity) and a number of other companies to serve SMEs in regional and rural Australia came in seventh place with 373.00 percent revenue growth.  M2 Telecommunications was ranked ninth with 272.79 percent growth and also won the new Leadership Award, introduced this year and awarded to companies with revenue in excess of $50 million.

Joshua Tanchel, leader of Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 program said: "[Vocus'] ethos of giving exceptional customer service and striving to do things differently, by adopting new technologies and developing innovative solutions, has delivered the well deserved accolade of being a Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winner."

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program, now in its tenth year, ranks the 50 fastest growing public or private technology companies, based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2008 to 2010). Total revenue for this year's Fast 50 winners was approximately $1.8 billion, a 72 percent increase from the previous year.

The winner of the 2010 Rising Star award was Mozo, a company launched in 2008 to help people make informed decisions about retail banking products to best suit their needs. A few months ago, Mozo launched Australia's only application to determine the true value of credit card reward programs.

The Rising Star award recognises high quality and innovative companies with strong growth potential that do not qualify for the Technology Fast 50 list, either as a result of having less than three years' existing revenue data or not meeting the new $8 million threshold requirement of the Technology Fast 50 program.
