Adobe has completed its acquisition of Day Software.

In late July, Adobe announced an agreement to acquire Day Software, a Switzerland-based developer of content management, digital asset management, and social collaboration software.

The $US240 million transaction has been completed, with over 98% of Day Software's shares either held by or tendered to Adobe. Adobe intends to request the cancellation of the remaining shares following an extended acceptance period, and to seek the delisting of Day shares.

Day will become part of Adobe's digital enterprise solutions business unit, with Day CEO Erik Hansen reporting directly to senior vice president and general manager Rob Tarkoff.

"The completion of Adobe's acquisition of Day puts us on our path to deliver best-in-class customer experience management solutions to enterprises," said Mr Tarkoff.

"Exciting opportunities lie ahead as we give our customers the ability to transform customer experiences, supporting our vision of the Web as the hub of customer interaction. We couldn't be more excited about the fit of Day's products in our enterprise portfolio and working toward our vision with the Day team," he added.
