IT Industry - Listed Tech

Information security specialist, Cybertrust, has signed a non-exclusive agreement with hardware encryption provider Senetas Corporation (ASX:SEN) to distribute its high speed network encryption devices in Australia, New Zealand and selected markets in North and South East Asia.

High speed network encryption technology enciphers and deciphers information as it travels across open networks to protect privacy of information in applications such as banking and financial transactions, and transactions for government and other commercial enterprises.

Cybertrust’s senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific Paul O’Rourke said that the company would broaden its ability to secure mission-critical information for customers in the financial services and government sectors with the addition of the Senetas product line.

“Our customers expect us to provide the very best security solutions to strengthen their security postures. The Senetas product suite boosts our high speed network encryption portfolio, enabling us to deliver a comprehensive range of encryption solutions to customers,” Mr O’Rourke said.

Senetas Corporation’s chairman, Francis Galbally said that this agreement would provide a significant boost to sales of its high speed network encryption products.

“Cybertrust is one of the very few managed security services companies with global reach and strong credentials in financial services and government.  We are confident that, through this agreement, Senetas will be able to penetrate new markets for our products, particularly in the Asian region,” Mr Galbally said.
