Virgin Blue selects local workers comp software

Virgin Blue has picked ComOps' safety, risk and claims management software.

Following a competitive review, Virgin Blue chose ComOps to help automate employee compensation claims.

“Prior to the ComOps deployment, our system for reporting employee claims was a paper-based series of Excel spreadsheets which was both slow and open to inconsistency," said Bron Taylor, workers compensation manager, Virgin Blue.

"We were unable to gather information in real time. When a new claim was received, it was administered manually onto a spreadsheet impacting productivity," she added.

For example, end of month reporting that previously took two days is now completed within two hours.

The company plans to integrate ComOps with other safety-related applications as part of a move towards a seamless occupational health and safety platform.
